Grady at 12 Months!

We made it a year! Phew. It was rough at times, but was also the happiest, most rewarding year of our lives.

For his birthday, we had some friends from Salem visit for the weekend. We celebrated mainly on Saturday (his actual birthday was Friday) so that Dad would be around for all of it. We decorated the house with streamers and balloons. Opening presents was fun--a bit of madness, but Grady had a blast. Then we went to the zoo and back at home had cake and ice cream. He laughed whenever I sang my own version of Happy Birthday. Not sure if it was the song that was so funny or my voice. :0

He weighed 17lbs 3oz at his 12 month appointment, but just 3 days later weighted 17lbs, 12.5oz so he's starting to gain weight again.

He's active as ever--still crawling for the most part. But, loves to walk behind anything that will move. He's taken a few steps on his own. Never more than one at any time, and he soon falls afterwards. We think if he can just build his confidence a bit, he'll take off.

We're off to Hawaii on Tuesday so I'll have those to post next time around.

Also, I don't know who gets these emails. If you signed up yourself, I can't delete you and I think you have to unsubscribe yourself. I won't be sending out quite as frequently as I'm sure you're all sick of the constant updates (except the grandparents)!
