Spring 2010 (Grady 12-15 Months)

Grady's now 15.5 months old and is hardly a little baby anymore. Justin and I comment almost daily about how grown up he looks and acts. He's a full-on toddler now (I miss my baby!).

His walking has turned into running.

He's talking more and more everyday. What astonishes us even more is that he understands what we say almost all the time now. We can give direction and he follows them (for now at least) and is so proud of himself when he accomplishes the task.

Favorite words right now: truck, up, milk, mom, dad, cat, dog, all done, light.

He doesn't really say 'no' yet, but will shake his head if he doesn't want something.

He giggles ALL the time and starts squealing when very happy. Yes, squealing. Super cute.

About 2 weeks ago he got his helmet off! We're very happy with the outcome, and so happy to have that all behind us. It's almost odd now that no one stares at us when we go out.

His favorite activities: anything outside (just LOVES the outdoors), likes coloring, is still very much into books and reading. He now constantly brings books to us and wants to sit on our laps while we read.

They say independence blossoms at this age--yes, it does. He wants to try everything on his own. Sit in chairs by himself, walk without holding hands, only eat from his own hand... He's also testing boundaries, but really his tantrums aren't that bad. They'll last for a few seconds, but he's easily redirected to focus on something else.

We keep saying it---each stage is just incredible. We are loving this one...Life is good.
