Grady at 10 Months

What a fun, eventful month it's been!!

First, Grady got his helmet almost 4 weeks ago. From the very first day, he hasn't been bothered by it and is just very laid back about it. So far, he's had a bit of improvement, but we're still waiting on a big growth spurt to really see some significant improvement. We're hoping that happens soon. The first few days he had it, other people would stare with pity in their eyes so we decided to decorate it with stickers in a skiing/snowboarding theme to help others know it's not a 'sad' thing and that we're able to have fun with it.

For Christmas, we went back to Chicago then on to Iowa. It was a great trip filled with lots of family, friends, good food, a sledding trip and lots of laughs (mostly with Grady being at the center).

Some highlights:
- Starting 'real' crawling a few weeks before Christmas. He can really move!
- Started pulling up the very next day.
- He now is walking around tables and couches.
- He stands on his own, but sometimes only for a few seconds. He definitely wants to be walking.
- Started saying "mama." We're working on "dada" too, but for now it's just mama.
- Has recently decided he wants to eat himself. Isn't too excited about baby food, but rather wants finger food.
- Loves to sit on the hardwood floors and kick his feet. He'll even go around in circles while kicking. Really, he's into making noises--banging on walls, tables, kicking his feet, dropping toys. He knows different toys make different noises.
- Still laughs at everything...he's just a happy boy. He'll chuckle when he sees something he wants; I don't even think he knows he's doing it.

Enjoy the pictures.
Happy New Year to everyone!
