The joy of shopping

Thoughts from this weekend: week 16.5:

Justin and I were shopping this weekend and we walked past the store, Motherhood.

We stopped. Should we go in?

He convinced me we should, although once inside, I was embarrassed. Seems everyone in there was very obviously pregnant--no doubt about it--definitely showing pregnant. Then there's me. Still fitting into my jeans.

But, I'm thinking ahead. We leave for Bali in less than 3 weeks. I don't have many pairs of shorts to begin with, and I'm just not sure I'll still be able to fit into them 3 week from now--not to mention we'll be there for more than a week.

So, after an embarrassing conversation with the sales lady, I tried on a pair of shorts. I must not be the only one trying on clothes for the future, because in the dressing room was this Velcro belt with a pillow in the front--just we can see how big I may get. Lovely. They didn't fit (in the inseam area, not belly area) so we left.

Thankfully.

I'm not exactly looking forward to going back, although I'm sure I'll have to.

Then we went to Target and found some cheap maternity shorts that actually fit. We'll see if I need them. I have them if I do.

That was my traumatic adventure for the weekend.

Oh, one more note. My cravings have subsided. I don't want ice cream all the time anymore, although I did sit down with some cookie dough last night. I was full, asked Justin to take it away from me. His response: "I know better to take food away from a pregnant woman." I couldn't stop laughing the whole time I was finishing the dough off!
