It's been a busy summer for us with lots of visitors. First Lynda came out while Justin when on a rafting trip. Then my mom and grandpa came and while they were here, my aunt and uncle from Eugene made the trip up. My sister Dana came out for 10 days and then we just got back from a week in Lawrence showing Grady off to everyone out there.
Grady's been just awesome--we have enjoyed this age the best.
At his 6 mo. appointment he was 13 lbs 11 oz and was 23.5" long. He's still a peanut trying to catch up to all the other 6 month olds, but to us it seems like he's growing way too fast. He got a ton of shots but took them like a champ. The DR was "very impressed" with how well he could sit, considering he's 5 mos adjusted. That's right, even doctors are in awe of our son. :)
Here's what Grady is doing at six months:
- started sitting unassisted
- began to eat solid foods (first rice cereal and now on to squash and sweet potatoes)
- drools even more than before. Maybe a tooth is on it's way?
- still wakes up 2-3 times at night to be fed. We're hoping this changes real soon.
- discovered how to remove his socks so he can get the toes in his mouth.
- found his voice and like to squeal like a pig. The folks on the flight loved this...
- seems to be using his right hand for everything. Gone are my wishes for him to be another lefty.
- still has the brightest, bluest eyes with beautiful long lashes.
- likes to be tickled.
- loves to read books. His current favorite is "Are you my mother?"--he lights up everytime we begin to read it.
- still gives the BEST hugs and kisses :)
Enjoy the pics. Life is good.
