Baby Loves Pizza

Well, most any food. And, water. After I eat or drink I can fell him moving--and, it's graduated from flutter feeling to more distinct movements. Yesterday I was able to look down at my belly and see it move. That was crazy. Just a poke or a ripple effect. Justin has felt him for the first time now too. To him, it feels like I'm just flexing my stomach muscles, although I'm not sure I have any muscles under there anymore!

Tomorrow I'm 24 weeks. It's a day early, but here's what they say about 24 weeks:

Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his t
aste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

Just one pound, huh? I know I've gained more than 1 pound of weight...
I'll take some pics this weekend and send to you. In the meantime, here's a few from last weekend when we were in Salem visiting some friends there.
1) hanging out on the couch
2) only one of us is pregnant...
3) all-girl rock band
